which the needs and experiences of 54 cancer survivors and 14 supporters
were identified, it was observed that patients who felt they had no control
over the progress of their cancers were more prone to depression and anxiety,
and ultimately fared worse in their struggle to survive cancer, than were
those who attempted to be proactive in regaining and maintaining their
health after cancer treatment."
