This is the eschar immediately after it came out on June
3rd, 2004. The cut out area at the 9 o'clock position is where it formed
around a strange knob of flesh that remained attached to and part of my
thigh. Normally, the roots would have absorbed up into this mass, leaving
nothing behind, and no blood would be present, but the eschar broke off
while still attached to the largest root, and apparently to some tissue.
The treatment will have to be repeated to go after the roots that broke
off inside the leg, but only after the wound has closed up and the black
salve can be tolerated. The light salve can be applied directly to the
raw tissue without much discomfort, although I did have some moderate
but tolerable stinging for about 30 minutes. |
