This is the fully-formed new eschar a couple of days after the black salve treatment, brought to maturity with just one application of black followed by the light salve. The fleshy nub can be seen at the 4 o'clock postion on the inside. The small, separate eschar on the extreme right may be a root or something. I haven't seen them branch off like that in a smaller area before. The salve covered this entire area, including those little "islands" on the right.
