Light of TruthTHERMO THERAPY For Prostate
See also Beta-Sitosterol, Modified Citrus Pectin for prostate

A review from the Eclectic Medicine International (EMI) staff at http://www.holisticcancersolutions.com/

"Thermo therapy is the name of a small device that provides heat directly to the anal canal through self administered heat therapy. The device consists of a small rectal probe made of plastic, and an electric unit that provides electricity to heat the probe. The temperature is controlled by a dial on the unit.

The manufacturer describes the purpose of the product as being a therapeutic aid to relieve discomfort caused by hemorrhoids, prostatitis, and benign prostatic hypertrophy. In their brochure, the word, "prostate trouble", appears often, but cancer is never mentioned. Nevertheless, the real significance of this little instrument is that the probe can be applied directly to the anal area that is very close to the prostate, thus affecting cancer cells in the prostate by the heat it projects. The principle is somewhat similar to that of Microwave Hyperthermia. This is also a form of hyperthermia, but it is self administered, and as a cancer fighting instrument probably only effective for prostate cancer, because through the rectum it has excellent access to the prostate.

The method is safe, cannot cause harm, and it is affordable ($249). How effective is it?
Unfortunately, no data is available. The company will not admit either in print, or verbally, that the device can be used against cancer. However, let us consider some facts. We are not dealing here with an unknown herbal or chemical substance, or with a sophisticated electronic or magnetic principle. We are talking about heat and tumors. We know that the two don't go well together. It has been well demonstrated in countless laboratory and clinical trials that while a few degrees of difference in temperature has absolutely no effect on healthy cells, it weakens or destroys cancerous ones. After all, this is the basic principle of any hyperthermia treatment for cancer. As the Thermo Therapy probe can be placed very close to the prostate, and kept there for any length of time, it is reasonable to assume that it will have an effect on prostate cancer. Please note: 'reasonable to assume' doesn't mean 'guaranteed' or 'certainly'! There is no clinical evidence available about the product's efficacy for cancer.

The device should always be used under the guidance of a doctor, because too sudden destruction of a tumor may induce toxic shock. According to some medical experts, the most likely outcome of using the Thermo is the weakening of the tumor, thus becoming manageable by the immune system and by other anti-cancer agents.

The product has been introduced on the market quite recently. It will be interesting to see if it will become a widespread therapeutic tool against prostate cancer. Should you decide to use it, please let us know about the results.

Here is what the company has to say about the device:

The ThermoTherapy Unit from

COMTRONIX

Corrects prostate troubles
Eliminates hemorrhoid problems
Uses heat therapy (hyperthermia) to temporarily raise body temperature
Increases level of disease-fighting white blood cells
Stimulates the immune system
FDA approved for use with hemorrhoids and prostatitis

This product uses Heat Therapy (hyperthermia) to temporarily raise body temperature in the localized rectal area. The effect corrects hemorrhoid problems and prostate trouble as proved in double-blind studies by both United States and Japanese regulatory agencies. Additional benefits are derived by raising the localized rectal body temperature from 98.6°F to 113°F. This stimulates the immune system, causing an increase in the level of disease-fighting white blood cells (Leukocytes).

The ThermoTherapy unit is FDA approved. It has a rechargeable 6 volt battery that provides four 30 minute treatments before recharging is required using the supplied 120 volt AC adapter.

Note: Do not use the ThermoTherapy unit if you are taking immuno-suppressant drugs or have had urinary or rectal radiation treatment within one year.

The cost of this device is $249 U.S. plus shipping. Tel: 888-533-7007 or 604-855-4988 (Pacific time zone)."
